Mounts

Use the B6T Cross member. The rear mount is a direct bolt on. You need to bolt on the BPT front mount to the b6t cross member.  The b6t cross member aligns the box and the rear drive shaft perfectly.

The engine and passenger mounts have to be custom made. For the engine mount I used both BPT mounts, except the mount that bolts onto the frame of the car have to be modded. The gearbox mount also has to be modded. These pics should explain.

Drive Shafts

The driver side shaft is from a BPT and is the perfect size, so you only need to get a KE hub pressed on so it fits the KE disk.

The gear box side shaft has to be shortened. I measured and chopped the BPT one, and got it welded up for $80. Pics of shafts.

Intercooler

I used a VR4 intercooler (cost $400 at the time). It comes standard with 2 inch end tank pipes. These kill the power so for $50 I got these cut off and had 2.5 inch piping welded on.

I had to chop quite a lot the front bumper to fit this cooler. I also had to make custom brackets to hold it in place. The front frame has plenty of holes underneath to bolt the brackets to.

Intercooler piping

The cooler piping all has to be custom made. I used 2.5 inch mandrel bent stainless, and silicon piping.

Wiring

If you want to use the BPT ecu, this will be a big pain. Most people wire up the b6t ecu as it easier and it doesn稚 have the 14psi boost cut. You値l need a fuel computer to get it fuel properly. Check www.fordlaser.com for more info.

Radiator
Now that you have a bigger engine and cooler piping, the radiator won稚 fit in its stock position anymore.

You need to move a bit across (passenger side), and I bit higher. To do this you値l need to make custom brackets and also mod the bottom hose pipe. PICS

You also have to shorten the bottom cooler pipe, and use a gates flexible radiator hose.

The top hose fits ok, although you might need to shorten it a bit.

You also need to use a Davis Craig fan, and mount it on the front side of the radiator.

If you can afford it, a custom radiator might be easier.

Fuel Pump

The stock B6T pump is good for stock boost, but it is recommend to upgrade it if you want to run higher boost.

I used a Celica GT4 pump ($50) and it was perfect.

Exhaust

You can use the stock BPT dump pipe, but you値l have to mod the end of it so it bolts onto the cat. This would be a good time to go for a full 3inch from the dump pipe back.

Gear Shifter

If you use the BPT box you値l need the BPT shifter cables and gear stick etc.

When you take off the centre console, you値l see the stock shifter is held in by 4 bolts. The BPT shifter bolts on perfectly to the front 2, but the back 2 have to be cut off. I used self tapping screws to hold the back in place.

Power Steering

I used the BPT PS pump, but apparently you can bolt on the b6t pump with a slight mod to some bracket. I知 unsure how to do it, so check www.fordlaser.com for more details.

To use the BPT PS pump you need to get a custom hose made ($50). You also need to bolt on the reservoir tank. PICS

Speedo Cable

The KE cable is the right size, but you have to use the BPT gear drive, which screws into the cable anyways.

Window washer bottle

Thanks to the power steering reservoir, the window washer bottle won稚 fit, so you need to use the bottle found in the boot of KE laser. Its small and a perfect size.
